Brand Manufacturer Tracking Database

With the patchwork of state electronics recycling laws many of which require electronics manufacturers to register the brands they sell in each state, it can be challenging for state agencies to determine which manufacturers are compliant with the law in their own and other states.  It is also difficult for retailers to keep track of non-compliant brands that can’t be sold in their stores. The ERCC saw the need for the development of a comprehensive and up-to-date database of brands and product types registered at the state-level by electronics manufacturers. As a result, the ERCC developed the Brand & Manufacturer Tracking Database (BMTD). The BMTD allows users to see which brands, manufacturers and product types are registered in each state, whether bankruptcy information is available for those manufacturers, and export a list updated every month of non-compliant brands and manufacturers.  Agency members can also add, modify and obtain contact information available for each manufacturer. There are also many different reports that can be run to isolate particular data sets. The BMTD is a service available to all members of the ERCC.
